Oyón made the move to digital for primarily
logistical reasons, and was delighted to discover many more advantages of
working with Leaf.
“I started my career shooting film, and then scanning and altering
the images. I resisted moving to digital for a long time,” Oyón
recalls, “especially because a few years ago, no digital solution was
really that attractive. Each required buying a new computer and handling
loads of cables.”
Finally, however, he realized he had no choice but to take the plunge. “I
had to do something about saving the time and money involved in film developing
and in the scanning process,” he says. “After all, in the fashion
industry, 95% of the images require retouching. And I need the 60 MB images
for the posters and large ads I do. Bottom line: working in digital simply
gets the final image to the client faster.” That much, Oyón
expected.
