"We are pushing our clients to be braver, encouraging
them to become leaders and not just followers".
Understandably cautious, Dazeley first dipped a toe
into digital capture in early 2006. At this time, he felt digital backs finally
met the high standards he had been waiting for.
“We held back from taking our first steps into digital for quite some
time, although we had occasionally hired an Aptus 22 when clients requested
we shoot digitally. In the meantime we received a lot of contact and help
from Hasselblad, PhaseOne and Leaf.
Stalling our transition actually was to our advantage, because when we finally
made the move, it coincided with the launch of new backs from all the leading
manufacturers. Ultimately the major influence of going with Leaf was the
fact that we felt that the Leaf
software was the most user friendly.” he says.
